The film's central story concerns a father, Lalit Verma, who is trying to organize an enormous and expensive wedding for his daughter, for whom he has arranged a marriage with a man she has known for only a few weeks.The bride, Aditi Verma, is nervous as she has been having an affair with her married ex-boss Vikram.The groom is an Indian living in Texas, and all relatives from both families, some from distant places like Australia, come to New Delhi during the monsoon season to attend the wedding.There are four-day arrangements and celebrations of the wedding preparations, family parties and drama, dangers to the happy end of the wedding, lots of music and dance.

Arranged matches were made after taking into account factors such as the compatibility of the couples' horoscopes, the backgrounds of their families (wealth, social standing) and their social class, economy resources...The institution of marriage in India is considered a very important one.
differences between Indian marriages and Spanish marriages
differences: In India the weddings are very colourful and customs are not white. The weddings in India are normally celebrated in the family houses and not in a church. The wedding preparations are very important and usually take 3 or 4 days. In Spain we throw rice to the bride and the groom, in India the throw flowers.
